Weekly Writer’s Circle Hosted by Sarah Bland of Enter Peace

How many times have you said "I know I need to write that, but I just don't have the time!" or "I really have always wanted to write [insert idea here], but I don't know. How do I even get started?" Most of us have been there! But you don't have to stay there.

This weekly Writer's Circle is an intentional space for writing the thing that you know you need to write. This circle offers the structure and accountability needed to sustain a consistent writing practice. Doing this work alongside each other invites a sense of ease and excitement about creating the thing you want to create. Now is the time!

As this is a Circle experience, participants are invited to bring a meaningful piece of writing or an object that is inspiring their work that week. We will settle in with a very brief grounding meditation, introduce ourselves and the inspiration item, and then write

This workshop is for you if

  • you know you want to write more often, but find it difficult to make the time to sit down and write,

  • you want to connect with other people who enjoy creating and expressing themselves through writing, and

  • you enjoy prompts to generate ideas for your writing practice.

You don’t need to be a “writer” or have a finished product in mind. This is about noticing, remembering, and telling the truth as you understand it right now. We’ll write into complexity, contradiction, grief, joy, resistance, and possibility.

This space is especially for those who sense that their stories matter, but haven’t always taken the time to deeply reflect on them. We’ll practice writing as a way to honor our lived experience, build clarity, and witness one another with care.

In each writer's circle, you can expect:

  • Guided meditation to invite us to settle into the present moment

  • Prompts for generating ideas about significant places and spaces in your life

  • Poems, essays, and more to inspire your curiosity

  • Connecting with other writers

  • Time to actually write!

  • Examples writing techniques that you can use to create more dimension in your writing

  • Opportunities to share parts of your writing or discuss your writing process (optional, of course)

  • To create something new!
