Weekly Writers Circle Hosted by Sarah Bland of Enter Peace
How many times have you said "I know I need to write that, but I just don't have the time!" or "I really have always wanted to write [insert idea here], but I don't know. How do I even get started?" Most of us have been there! But you don't have to stay there.
This weekly Writer's Circle is an intentional space for writing the thing that you know you need to write. This circle offers the structure and accountability needed to sustain a consistent writing practice. Doing this work alongside each other invites a sense of ease and excitement about creating the thing you want to create. Now is the time!
As this is a Circle experience, participants are invited to bring a meaningful piece of writing or an object that is inspiring their work that week. We will settle in with a very brief grounding meditation, introduce ourselves and the inspiration item, and then write!
This workshop is for you if
you know you want to write more often, but find it difficult to make the time to sit down and write,
you want to connect with other people who enjoy creating and expressing themselves through writing, and
you enjoy prompts to generate ideas for your writing practice.
You don’t need to be a “writer” or have a finished product in mind. This is about noticing, remembering, and telling the truth as you understand it right now. We’ll write into complexity, contradiction, grief, joy, resistance, and possibility.
This space is especially for those who sense that their stories matter, but haven’t always taken the time to deeply reflect on them. We’ll practice writing as a way to honor our lived experience, build clarity, and witness one another with care.
In each writer's circle, you can expect:
Guided meditation to invite us to settle into the present moment
Artisan Teas from Tango! Teas
Prompts for generating ideas about significant places and spaces in your life
Poems, essays, and more to inspire your curiosity
Connecting with other writers
Time to actually write!
Examples of writing techniques that you can use to create more dimension in your writing
Opportunities to share parts of your writing or discuss your writing process (optional, of course)
To create something new!
When: Each Monday, 7 PM - 8:30 PM
Where: Thrive Holistic Co-Working Community, 25 Glen Ed. Professional Park, Glen Carbon, IL

Women's Circle
Women have been gathering in generations to share wisdom, honor life’s transitions, release what no longer serves them, and reconnect with their inner knowing. When we join together in circle, we are reminded that we were never meant to walk this path alone.
A women’s circle is a safe, supportive space where you’re invited to slow down, reconnect, and simply be yourself without pressure or judgement.
The evening will include guided meditation with a soothing sound bath, cacao and sacred conversation.
“When women come together and make a commitment to each other to be in a circle with a spiritual center, they are creating a vessel of healing and transformation for themselves, and a vehicle for change in their world. “ - Jean Shinoda Bolen
TIME: 6:00-8:00
Guided meditation with sound bath
Connection time
Cacao ceremony
Oracle cards
Date: Wednesday, July 29
Location: Thrive Holistic Co-Working Community
25 Glen Ed Professional Park, Glen Carbon
The women’s circle is $20/person. Space is limited to 10. Email Megan Largent at manderson12@gmail.com to reserve your spot.

Book Launch: Andrea Dawn's The Yamas & Niyamas: Sowing the Seeds to Self Love
Join us for an inspiring evening celebrating the launch of The Yamas & Niyamas: Sowing the Seeds to Self-Love, the newest book by yoga teacher, life coach, author, and retreat leader Andrea Dawn. Through her work with AfterDawn, Andrea has spent more than a decade helping people reconnect with themselves through yoga philosophy, coaching, immersive retreats, and creative practice. She is the author of No Mat Required: Using the Wisdom of Yoga to Create a Joyful Life, creator of an online yoga philosophy program, and has led transformational retreats in Hawaii, Costa Rica, Florida, Guatemala, and beyond.
In The Yamas & Niyamas: Sowing the Seeds to Self-Love, Andrea honors the traditional roots of yoga while offering a fresh and accessible approach for the modern seeker. Rather than presenting the Yamas and Niyamas as ancient philosophical concepts to be studied from a distance, she invites readers to experience them as living "seeds," each containing the potential to grow into greater authenticity, healing, spiritual awakening, and self-love when nurtured with intention.
Drawing from her own lived experiences, Andrea shares stories of transformation with warmth, honesty, and humor. Each chapter explores one of the ten Yamas and Niyamas through personal reflection, practical application, contemplative inquiry, and embodied practices. Readers are invited not only to understand these teachings intellectually, but to integrate them into their own lives in ways that cultivate greater self-love, inner peace, and alignment.
Each chapter also includes a corresponding mudra, mantra, reflective practices, and a devotional reading to revisit throughout one's journey. A companion workbook, available separately, offers additional opportunities for journaling, self-inquiry, and integrating these timeless teachings into everyday life.
This book launch is more than an author event. It is an immersive evening of community, reflection, and celebration. Andrea will share the inspiration behind the book, her personal writing journey, and how these ancient teachings have shaped her own path. The evening will also feature a community song circle led by beloved local musician Steph Plant, inviting participants to experience the healing power of music, connection, and collective voice.
Whether you are a longtime yoga practitioner, a teacher, a spiritual seeker, or someone longing to live with greater authenticity and purpose, we invite you to join us for this special celebration. Come plant the seeds of a more compassionate relationship with yourself, connect with a community of kindred spirits, and celebrate the release of a book that reminds us that lasting transformation begins from within.
Copies of The Yamas & Niyamas: Sowing the Seeds to Self-Love and the corresponding workbook will be available for purchase.
This event is free.

When: Each Monday, 10 AM - 11:15 AM
Where: Thrive Holistic Co-Working Community, 25 Glen Ed. Professional Park, Glen Carbon, IL
